In a friend's home, a she walks over to an end table, reaches for the lamp, and sometimes there is a musical noise that sounds like one of those musical greeting cards. Cannot figure out where the sound is coming from. Any ideas? Electrical problem or what?!?

no speaker in the lamp, you could open it up and find out whats iinside. outside interference that catches on the wire might play back if there were speakers. i know that light bulbs hiss before and whistle before they dye sometimes. beside that i dont know. could be uneartly i suppose.
